Ron Johnson, a veteran golfer of 77 years of age, shot a smooth 77 to shoot his age for the second time in less than two months at the Rivers Edge Golf Club on May 18, 2020. He first shot his age on April 8, 2020, also at Rivers Edge. To accomplish the feat Johnson birdied his last hole, the very difficult par 5, ninth hole. His playing partners who witnessed the accomplishment were; Barry Hooks, Bruce Goins and Jonathan Forde.
