On Wednesday, November 1, 2017 Rivers Edge Golf Club conducted its annual River Cup Championship. Seventy two members, residents and property owners (48 men and 24 ladies) participated in the competition. Participants were divided into two teams (Red and White). The format for the competition was nine holes each of two-man Captain and Mate, two-man Modified Alternate Shot and Singles Head-to-Head match play. The 2017 winner for the second year in a row was the Red Team. Team captains were Harold Strunk and Shirley Arnold.
