On Thursday, June 14 Rivers Edge conducted its fifth semiannual American Red Cross blood drive at River Hall. Thirty two donors from the River Edge community and the Shallotte area participated in the blood drive. The Red Cross collected 34 pints (4 Power Red for 8 units and 26 whole blood) exceeding our goal of 28 pints by 20%. The REPOA would like to thank all the donors and volunteers who participated in the drive and for making it a successful and enjoyable day. And for those who participated in the M&M/beer mug count contest, the winner was Alexandria Misuraca who guessed 721. The correct number of M&M’s in the beer mug was 727.
Our next American Red Cross blood drive will be in December.
