On Saturday, December 16, members of the Rivers Edge Veterans Association participated in the laying of memorial wreaths at the Wilmington National Cemetery. WAA is a national organization who place wreaths on graves of veterans at National Cemeteries across the nation during the Holiday season. At 12:00 PM Eastern Time ceremonies began at every national cemetery in the US for the laying of wreaths. After opening ceremonies, hundreds of volunteers placed wreaths on the 5275 graves in the cemetery reciting the name of deceased veteran as they placed the wreath.
