On Friday, November 10, 2017 the Rivers Edge Veterans Association (REVA) hosted a Veterans Day luncheon for veterans residing at the Arbor Landing Independent Living Facility of Ocean Isle. Six veterans from Arbor Landing representing WWII, Korea, and Vietnam eras attended the luncheon in addition to 18 veterans from River Edge. The veterans shared an early Thanksgiving dinner prepared by members and spouses of the REVA. In honor of the Marine Corps birthday, November 10, the veterans participated in a Marine Corps trivia contest and each were given a framed plague thanking them for their service.
