On Thursday, December 5, Rivers Edge Veteran Association (REVA) Hospice volunteers participated in a tree decorating ceremony honoring veterans at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Bolivia. Family members, veterans and officials of LCFH gathered to honor 37 veterans who were patients at the Hospice Center and passed away over the last year. On hand were the West Brunswick High School JROTC Color Guard to open the event with military honors and members of REVA to dedicate the special tree to honor the veterans they got to know through Hospice.  Thirty seven ornaments of red, white and blue with the names of each veteran to be honored were placed on the tree by family members, LCFH staff members and REVA members as their names were announced.  The tree will stand through the Holiday season to pay tribute to veterans who have touched our lives through the year.  After the Holiday season each family will receive their veteran’s ornament.
