2017 Beer Tasting

In January the social committee sponsored the first annual Beer Tasting event at River Hall. In
association with Lowes Food Stores seven beer styles were selected and served from growlers. Each
beer style was carefully paired with coordinating food items prepared by committee members. The
menu included Hefeweizen served with beer bread and herbed goat cheese, Spiced Amber Ale with beef
beer chili, Indian Pale Ale with warm pretzel and mustards, Pilsner with sweet and sour turkey
meatballs, Lager with a ham and cheese slider, Hard Cider with a half brat over braised red cabbage and
apples, and Stout with an iced brownie. Interesting and fun facts about beer were also shared.
